After what has possibly been the longest and coldest Melbourne Winter on record, we couldn’t get to the Sunshine Coast fast enough. Amidst our busy days – at work and home, especially with our renovation – time out was our priority. And honestly, it was the very best week of doing not much, EVER.

For us, 3 things made this holiday; staying somewhere totally zen and good for the soul, cool little coffee spots and beaches, beaches, beaches.

For this particular post, I want to let the pictures do the talking but first, two things worth chatting about in detail and then check out the list below of our fave spots to grab a coffee or a bite and our go-to beach spots.

We stayed at The Lodge in Noosa Heads and it was an absolute dream. There really no words to describe it (except maybe when can I move in?) so feast your eyes on these snaps and click here to book this amazing pad via AirBNB here. Basically, it had the best of everything you could ever want, looking amazing, smelt amazing, sounded amazing (hello Sonos sound system) and made our week away absolute bliss. Styled to perfect by uber talented stylist @sjanjohansenstylist, it doesn’t put a foot wrong.

The other super cool (and total different) thing we did was a Travelshoot. What is a Travelshoot I hear you ask? It’s a cool new service which organises a local photographer for you at your travel destination of choice. So, you know how every time you go on a family holiday, there is basically just photos of the kids? A travel shoot which can be done in one-hour is such a good way to capture some stunning shots of the whole tribe so you can have memories of your vacay all together. Tried and tested on my Hubby, who was basically like “do we have to?” and “I thought you weren’t working on this holiday”, our Travelshoot took one hour before we hit the beach and we are SO, SO happy with the shots. We all loved them and Rob was totally blown away, both at how easy and quick the whole experience was and how grateful we were to have snaps of our little fam together. The amazing folk and Travelshoot have offered us a discount code to share, so just use “SNEAKERS50” to get $50 off your Travelshoot here.

We had a car so we did a couple of trips on the Sunshine Coast to Eumundi Markets, Cotton Tree and Maleny/Montville but mostly we just hit the beaches (our fave listed below).
I know I usually also chat about travelling with kids and any tips or challenges we had but honestly on this holiday, Luka was an absolute dream.  And I think it was because our holiday was sooo relaxed. We were all chilled out and just did things at our own pace. It got me thinking about how much we rush our kids around in our daily lives and how much they really thrive on time, space and the ability to just be. And of course, how much they feed on our mindset too. All the more reason to bring those holiday vibes into our daily lives. I’m still working on that one – once I figure out the secret, I’ll be sure to let you know x
